Escape lawful custody, Numinbah Valley

A 19-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly escaping from Numinbah Correctional Centre on Friday night, Queensland Police say.

The woman was arrested in Redcliffe yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of escaping lawful custody. She is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Jahnessa Jerome, 24, who escaped from the same low custody facility on Friday night remains outstanding.

The woman (pictured) is Aboriginal, about 173cm tall with brown and red hair and a tattoo on her left hand.
