Northern Territory Police are searching for a man who escaped from the Alice Springs Court House earlier today.
Jonah Mitchell, 18-years-old jumped from the dock and escaped through the front doors of the court house during proceedings around 11am.
Corrections officers pursued the man on foot who ran into the Todd River. He was last seen on the corner of Wills and Sturt Terrace.
Jonah is described as being a 185cm tall man, with a tanned complexion, slim build and has a brown goatee/facial hair and shoulder length wavy brown hair.
Anyone who sees Jonah or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
