Ethical Clothing Australia Week 2023 – Celebrating local businesses commitment to protecting workers' rights

Running from 9th – 15th October 2023, Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) Week is a nation-wide celebration of ethical manufacturing in the textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) industry in Australia.

ECA Week is an opportunity for the public to champion Australian businesses who have gone beyond just stating their operations are ethical and have taken action to certify they are ethical by achieving accreditation through Ethical Clothing Australia rigorous accreditation program. Above all, ECA Week is an opportunity to celebrate, recognise and acknowledge the 489,000 skilled workers in Australia, of which more than 77% are female, who create and distribute the garments we love and wear.

ECA Week 2023 will be a hybrid program with both digital and in-person events. There is an opportunity to go behind the scenes with local manufacturers and brands Denimsmith, Vince Clothing, Melco Fabrics, Next State Printers, Remuse and Knovus Knitwear.

The digital program includes The Social Studio, Cue, Anthea Crawford, Arnsdorf, Clothing the Gaps, Humphrey Law, Bushy Underwear, Perri Cutten, Flat Iron the Label, Pearl Button Bridal and The Ark Clothing Company.
