Event cancellations announced

Following today’s announcement from the Prime Minister advising against holding non-essential events over 500 people as of Monday, Melton City Council advises that Flavour Fest 2020 has been cancelled.

Flavour Fest was due to take place at Frontier Park, Aintree (Rockbank) on Saturday 21 March.

Our scheduled Harmony Day event will take place as planned tomorrow, Saturday 14 March at Willows Historical Park, Melton.

As the situation around COVID-19 is rapidly changing, information regarding other scheduled, Council-run events will be released following careful review.

City of Melton Mayor, Cr Lara Carli said the health and wellbeing of the community was paramount.

“We believe this is the right decision in the interest of community safety,” Cr Carli said.

“We know a lot of people were looking forward to Flavour Fest and we share their disappointment.”

Event updates will be posted on Council’s website and Facebook page.
