Events funding to reconnect Community to Dungog Shire Local Government Area

Dungog Shire community will share in more than $200k grant funding for 19 great community initiatives awarded under the State Government's Reconnecting Communities grants. The program was created to help regional communities recover from the effects of COVID and lockdowns by stimulating activity in the events, hospitality, and accommodation sectors.

Funding has been secured for a number of exciting initiatives with everything from film workshops at the James Theatre group to community festivals in Dungog, Vacey and Clarence Town to popular events like a bass fishing fest, Movies under the Stars, summer markets, village carnivals, twilight concerts, public picnics and Pedalfest.
