This year's theme, The Table is Set, is about more than being invited. It is about being included, heard and valued, because every seat matters and everyone belongs.
ABC News Breakfast reporter, Charles Brice will MC this year's event, guiding guests through an enjoyable evening of live entertainment, personal stories, panel discussions, refreshments and opportunities to connect with others.
Mayor Glenn Docherty said Celebration of Ability is an important event on Council's annual calendar, recognising International Day of People with Disability.
"Celebration of Ability is an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of inclusion and celebrate the achievements of people with disability and those helping to advance inclusion across Playford," Mayor Docherty said.
"This year's theme, The Table is Set, is a powerful reminder that inclusion means making sure everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute and have their voices heard."
"Every person brings something valuable to the table and events like this help us celebrate those contributions while continuing to build a more accessible and inclusive city."
The evening will also announce the winners of the 2026 Mayoral Awards, presented by Mayor Glenn Docherty. The awards recognise outstanding people, businesses, organisations and initiatives whose leadership, creativity and dedication are strengthening disability inclusion and connection across our community.
