A team of Australia's leading educators, researchers and disability advocates have been appointed to an expert-led committee, established to ensure NDIS participants access the best-practice, evidence-based supports that deliver results.
The NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee (EAC) will be led by esteemed academic Associate Professor Jill Duncan OAM.
Associate Professor Duncan has shown a life-long dedication to the equity, inclusion and rights of people with disability, throughout her career in government, education and the not-for-profit sector. Associate Professor Duncan and a majority of EAC members are people with disability, ensuring those with lived experience are leading reform. They are:

Under A/Professor Duncan's leadership, the committee will provide independent, expert advice to the government on the suitability of NDIS supports for funding. These include therapies and assistive technologies.
Public consultation for each support considered by the EAC will commence in late 2025. Existing research, lived experience and community views will be used to examine the benefits, quality and cost-effectiveness of each support.
The EAC was recommended by the NDIS Review and the Australian Government has committed $45.5 million dollars to its establishment, over four years.
