Georges River Council is now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from performers. They will take part in the Lunar New Year 2026 celebrations in Hurstville.
Council is seeking a wide range of performers including musicians, dancers, cultural groups and entertainers. They will be part of this major community celebration.
Lunar New Year is one of the most anticipated cultural events in the Georges River calendar. Drawing thousands of visitors each year to enjoy a vibrant program of entertainment, food, and festivities. The 2026 event will continue this tradition celebrating the rich cultural heritage of our community. With a dynamic mix of performances, food stalls, and family-friendly activities.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "Lunar New Year is a time of celebration, unity and cultural pride. Each year, our community comes together to honour tradition and share in the joy of this special occasion.
"I encourage performers to submit an EOI to get involved and help make Lunar New Year 2026 a truly unforgettable experience."
Expressions of Interest for performers are now open and will close at 12.00pm on Monday 3 November 2025.
