Extension to deadline for Council's Bushfire Recovery Weed Control Program

Expressions of Interest for Snowy Monaro Regional Council's Bushfire Recover Weed Control Program have been extended by a further two weeks and will now close on Friday 5 March 2021.

The program - funded through a NSW Local Land Services grant - is available to any community members directly impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires and experiencing difficulties managing weeds on their property as a result.

Successful applicants will be provided with access to a licensed qualified weed control contractor to assist in managing priority weed infestations.

To lodge an expression of interest, applicants can visit snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au, email [email protected] or drop into a Council office to obtain an expression of interest form.

Council's Biosecurity team will contact applicants to assess eligibility and allocation of funds will be prioritised based on the level of risk, landowner weed management capacity and community benefit.
