Citybound traffic is extremely heavy on the M7 Motorway due to a multi vehicle crash at Quakers Hill approaching Sunnyholt Road.
One of two citybound lanes is closed with traffic queued back to the Great Western Highway at Rooty Hill.
Motorists should consider using Richmond Road, Third Avenue and Sunnyholt Road via Blacktown as an alternative route.
Motorists are also advised to allow plenty of extra travel time.
Emergency services and traffic crews are attending the crash.
