Failford Road Upgrade Petition Hits 10,000 Signatures

NSW Nationals

Nationals Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, has announced her community petition calling for urgent safety upgrades to the Failford Road and Pacific Highway intersection has now surpassed 10,000 signatures - a clear and powerful message to the Minns Labor Government that the Myall Lakes community expects action.

Mrs Thompson said the overwhelming response reflects years of frustration and fear from locals, motorists, and first responders who know just how dangerous this intersection has become.

"Reaching 10,000 signatures shows just how strongly our community feels." Mrs Thompson said.

"This petition represents thousands of voices calling for the Government to make this deadly intersection safe."

"Once Parliament returns, I will table this petition at the first available opportunity, ensuring every signature is heard on the floor of the House. I will continue pushing the Government and Transport for NSW until this upgrade is delivered."

"The community has made its position clear, and I will be pressing the Government for action."

Mrs Thompson thanked the community, local businesses, and volunteers who helped circulate and promote the petition.
