Fairfield Man Charged: Firearms & 2.5kg MDMA Seized

Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives have charged a man after firearms, ammunition, and MDMA powder were seized during a search warrant yesterday.

Strike Force Bultje was established in January 2023 to investigate the alleged kidnapping of a man and a woman from Fairfield earlier this year.

Two men – aged 24 and 25 – have been charged over their alleged roles in the incident; they remain before the courts.

As part of ongoing investigations, strike force detectives executed a search warrant about 8am yesterday (Friday 16 June 2023) at a unit on Dawson Street, Fairfield Heights.

During a search of the property, officers located and seized two firearms, ammunition, 2.5kg of MDMA powder, more than $10,000 cash, cocaine, and steroids.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the residence taken to Fairfield Police Station.

He was charged with 10 offences, including knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, supply indictable and commercial quantity prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and possess ammunition without holding licence/permit.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today (Saturday 17 June 2023).

Investigations under Strike Force Bultje are ongoing.
