Falcon Taskforce Nabs OCN Leader for Double Murder Plot

Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged six people for their alleged involvement in an Organised Criminal Network (OCN), with the alleged onshore leader of the group charged with soliciting and conspiring to murder two men.

Strike Force Sheringham was originally established in September 2024 by State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad to investigate the alleged criminal activities and drug supply of members and associates attached to a high-profile OCN.

In May 2025, that investigation was transferred to Taskforce Falcon, which was formed to target and suppress violent crime across Sydney, and particularly the shootings and violence linked to internal disputes within the syndicate.

Over the course of the investigation, detectives established the group's onshore leader was allegedly responsible for soliciting the murder of a 27-year-old man who had defected from the group, as well as conspiring to murder one of his associates at Kogarah Bay in August.

From 6am yesterday (Tuesday 16 December 2025), strike force detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad and South West Metropolitan Operational Support Group – executed six search warrants in Croydon Park, Merrylands, Austral, Lidcombe, and South Granville.

At a Croydon Park address, police arrested a 32-year-old man. He was taken to Burwood Police Station, where he was charged with:

- Conspire and agree to murder any person

- Solicit, encourage, persuade etc to murder

- Recruit child to carry out/assist criminal activity

- Knowingly direct activities of criminal group

- Knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime

- Three counts of damage property by fire/explosion

- Two counts of supply prohibited drug >indictable &

- Two counts of supply prohibited drug >= commercial quantity

- Supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity

- Supply etc pistol to other subject to prohibit

- Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime

- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity

The man was refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 17 December 2025).

In Austral, police arrested a man and woman, both 34. They were taken to Liverpool Police Station, where the man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, two counts of supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, use prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, reckless wounding - in company, affray, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.

He was refused bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court today.

The woman was charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity. She was refused bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court today.

In Lidcombe, police arrested a 34-year-old man. He was taken to Auburn Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, supply prohibited drug >small & <=indictable quantity, two counts of possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, possess counterfeit money (not excepted counterfeit coin), recklessly deal with proceeds of crime <=$5000, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

The man was refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court today.

At an address in Merrylands, police arrested a 40-year-old man. He was taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, six counts of supply prohibited drug >indictable & = large commercial quantity, two counts of supply prohibited drug >= commercial quantity, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

The man was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.

About 9.30am, strike force detectives attended Wagga Wagga Police Station where they arrested a 23-year-old man. He was charged with two counts of possess unauthorised pistol, two counts of possess unregistered firearm-pistol, two counts of acquire etc pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order, reckless wounding - in company, affray, 11 counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, seven charges relating to the supply of prohibited drugs, possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction

The man was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 18 December 2025).
