Family affair with drink drivers nabbed in Point Cook

A father and son have lost their licences after being detected drink driving overnight.

A breath testing site was set up on Dunnings Road, Point Cook on Thursday night and tested a number of drivers.

Around 9pm a 49-year-old man from Truganina underwent a breath test and provided an alleged reading on 0.109.

He had his licence immediately suspended, car impounded and is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences.

At the same time, his son was intercepted after allegedly trying to evade the Booze Bus site.

The 22-year-old Truganina man, who held a probationary licence, underwent a breath test and provided an alleged reading on 0.028.

He was issued with a $481 fine and his licence will be cancelled and disqualified for 3 months.
