Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire which occurred in Apollo Bay early this morning.
Emergency Services were called to the fire at Diana Street about 12.30am.
The resident, a 40-year-old man, was removed from the property by fire crews and CPR commenced, however he could not be revived.
Another two men who were at the property at the time were able to evacuate and were treated at the scene by ambulance crews.
A crime scene has been established while detectives work to establish the exact circumstances and cause of the fire.
