Police have arrested a man after a fatal assault in Sydney’s south-west yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 4.45pm (Sunday 12 August 2018), emergency services were called to a park on Morison Drive, Lurnea, following reports two men were fighting.
On arrival, officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command found a 31-year-old man seriously injured and commenced CPR.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated the man before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.
Following inquiries, a 34-year-old man was arrested at Liverpool Police Station about 1.10pm today (Monday 13 August 2018).
He is currently assisting detectives as inquiries continue.
