Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Pakenham South this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
It is believed a car travelling north on Five Mile Road and a car travelling west on Hall Road collided about 4.15pm.
The female driver, and sole occupant of one car, died at the scene.
The male driver of the other car received non life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
Emergency services are on scene and an investigation into the collision continues.
