Police are currently on scene at a crash near Morwell, Victoria Police say.
It is believed a pedestrian stepped out in front of a truck on the Princes Freeway at Hernes Oak about 6.20am.
The pedestrian, a 35-year-old Traralgon woman, died at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Traffic diversions remain in place.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
