Fatal crash in Yarra

A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Yarra today, NSW Police say.

About 1.30pm (Friday 18 May 2018) emergency services were called approximately 400 metres south of Wollogorang Creek Bridge, Federal Highway, near the Hume Highway, Yarra following reports of a crash.

Police have been told that a white van has left the roadway and hit a tree. The male driver, and sole occupant, has died at the scene.

Officers from The Hume Police District have established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
