Fatal crash Port Lincoln, South Australia

A woman has died in a single vehicle roll over in Port Lincoln overnight.

Just after 11.30pm Saturday 29 February, police were called to Western Approach Road after reports a car had left the road and rolled into the scrub.

Sadly, the driver and sole occupant, a 20-year-old Port Lincoln woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Major Crash Investigators flew to Port Lincoln at 2.30am this morning to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Western Approach Road, near Woods Road remains closed while Major Crash Investigators are at the scene. The road is expected to reopen later this morning.

The woman's death brings the number of lives lost on SA roads this year 20 compared to 17 at the same time last year.
