Fatal crash - South Pambula, NSW

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner after a man has died following a head-on crash in South Pambula today.

Shortly before 2pm (Tuesday 22 January 2019) emergency services were called to Mount Darragh Road, approximately 3km west of the Princes Highway, after reports a cement truck and a Mitsubishi mirage sedan had collided.

The driver of the Mitsubishi mirage, a 45-year-old Nethercote man, died at the scene.

The driver of the cement truck, a 59-year-old Cooma man was uninjured. He was taken to Bega District Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from South Coast Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Mount Darragh Road is currently closed in both directions.
