Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal hit-run collision in Delacombe this morning.
Emergency services were called to La Trobe Street after a cyclist was located deceased just after 5.45am.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined but investigators believe the man was hit by a vehicle which then fled the scene.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.
