Fatal pedestrian collision - Campsie

A woman has died following a crash in Sydney's Southwest.

About 2.15pm today (Saturday 11 November 2023), emergency services responded to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car at the intersection of Fifth and Eighth Avenue, Campsie.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 83-year-old female pedestrian, but she died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle – a 23-year-old man – was uninjured.

He was taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
