Fatal Polaris crash at Bridgewater

Sadly, a 14 year old girl has died following a crash involving a Polaris vehicle on private property at Bridgewater this afternoon.

Police and emergency services arrived at the scene of a serious crash involving a Polaris 4 x 4 side by side Ranger on a private property on Boyer Road, Bridgewater about 3pm today.

The driver of the vehicle, a 14 year old girl, and her 14 year old female passenger, were involved in the crash.

The 14 year old female driver was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital by the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter, however sadly passed away. The 14 year old passenger sustained minor injuries.

Uniform Police, Crash Investigation Services and Forensic Services attended the scene.

A full investigation will be conducted into this matter and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
