A crime scene has been established after a fatal shooting in Newcastle, NSW Police say.
Just after 4pm (Saturday 8 December 2018), police were called to a home on Beauford Avenue, Maryland, after reports of a shooting.
A man was found with fatal injuries inside an attached garage. His age is not available at this stage.
A crime scene has been established, and officers from Newcastle City Police District, with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, have commenced inquiries.
The investigation continues. No arrests have yet been made.
