Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in West Wallsend: NSW Police Responds

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Lake Macquarie early this morning.

About 4.40am today (Wednesday 15 May 2024), emergency services were called to George Booth Drive at West Wallsend following reports a car had crashed.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda sedan was treated by paramedics; however, died at the scene.

He has since been identified as a 20-year-old man.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
