Fatal traffic crash at Murarrie, QLD

A 24-year-old Wynnum man has died following a two vehicle traffic crash at Murarrie yesterday afternoon (December 17), Queensland Police say.

Around 5.40pm a collision occurred between a black motorcycle travelling southbound on Creek Road and a red Mazda 2 travelling northbound.

The crash, which occurred at the intersection with Edge Street, saw the 24-year-old rider thrown from his bike. He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries and sadly passed away early this morning.

The driver of the car, a 54-year-old man from Cannon Hill was not physically injured.

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing to any members of the public who witnessed the crash or who may have relevant dash-cam footage to contact police.

Police investigations are continuing.
