Fatal traffic crash at Oxenford, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a two vehicle crash that claimed the life of a teenage boy at Oxenford this afternoon., Queensland Police say

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 3.30pm, a sedan and utility travelling in opposite directions of Tamborine Oxenford Road collided.

A 15-year-old boy, the rear driver’s side passenger of the sedan, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the sedan was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries

The other two passengers of the sedan and all three occupants of the utility sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for precautionary checks.

Tamborine Oxenford Road remains closed between Michigan Drive and the round-a-bout while officers conduct investigations.
