Fatal traffic crash at Proston, QLD

A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash at Proston this afternoon.

Initial information suggests a ute was travelling along Mundubbera Durong Road at around 12.30pm when it left the roadway and struck a tree before rolling.

The driver of the vehicle, a 40-year-old South Toowoomba man, sustained critical injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two passengers in the vehicle, a 50-year-old Newtown man and a 26-year-old Wilsonton Heights man, were flown to Brisbane with non-life threating injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
