A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Calliope this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate just after 1:00pm a motorcycle carrying two people was travelling south along the Bruce Highway when it left the road approximately 500 meters south of the Sawmill Road turn off.
The male rider of the motorcycle, a 58-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 55-year-old female pillion passenger was transported to the Gladstone Base Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
