Police are investigating a fatal three vehicle traffic on the Bruce Highway this morning, south of Innisfail, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate at about 10.20am, a car heading north on the Bruce Highway collided with another car heading south, approximately 20km south of Innisfail.
A B-double truck heading south on the highway was unable to avoid the collision and collided with one of the cars.
The driver of the car which collided with the truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both lanes on the highway are currently closed.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
