Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred in Margate this morning, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations suggest around 11.20am a white Toyota Yaris was travelling in a northerly direction along Leonard Street and as it has entered the intersection with Dunbar Street it has collided with small Honda motorcycle travelling eastbound.
The female motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 76-year-old Margate man, was uninjured as a result of the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
