A man has died following a two vehicle traffic crash in Rockhampton overnight, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate around 9:40pm a utility and a four-wheel drive collided at the intersection of Alton Downs Road and Nine Mile Road.
The 27-year-old male driver of the utility was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 24-year-old man who was a passenger in the utility was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver and three other passengers in the four-wheel drive were transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
