A man has died after a crash between two trucks in the states south.
Shortly after 5.30am today (Friday 3 July 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a head on crash between two trucks along the Olympic Highway, Table Top, about 20km north of Albury.
The driver of one of the trucks – a man believed to be aged in his 20's – died prior to the arrival of emergency services.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 49-year-old male driver of the other truck at the scene before he was taken to Albury Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from the Murray River Police District have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
As investigations commence police are urging anyone with information about the crash – or has any relevant dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Albury Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The Olympic Highway between Gerogery Road and the Hume Freeway is currently closed and is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
