Fatal Workplace Incident - Matraville

A man has died following a workplace incident in Sydney's Eastern Beaches area.

About 5.30am today (Monday 22 September 2025), emergency services were called to a warehouse on Military Road, Matraville, following reports a worker had been seriously injured.

On arrival, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were told a man had been struck by a forklift.

The 57-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

SafeWork NSW have been notified.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
