At 6pm, Wednesday 8 November 2017, a silver Holden Commodore sedan, with Victorian registration, was being driven by a 43 year old Victorian man when it was travelling towards Lilydale. The vehicle failed to negotiate a sweeping right hand bend before crossing onto the wrong side of the road, colliding with a light weight HINO truck. The truck was driven by a 28 year old Lebrina man, Tasmania Police say.
The driver of the Holden sedan died at the scene.
The driver of the HINO was physically uninjured.
