Over $580,000-investment enables Archmill House Inc. to scale up, reach new markets and create 25 high-quality jobs

Today, the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister for Seniors, and Member of Parliament for Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario, announced a FedDev Ontario contribution of $580,403 to Archmill House Inc., a leading custom manufacturer of architectural millwork and store fixtures for commercial, institutional and retail markets.
With FedDev Ontario's contribution, Archmill House Inc. has undergone a 20,000-square foot expansion of its main production facility in Ancaster, including the addition of state-of-the-art manufacturing machinery. As this project has improved operating efficiency, such as reducing set-up times by 50 percent, Archmill House Inc. is better positioned to meet increased customer demand, accommodate larger contracts, maintain market competitiveness in Canada and accelerate growth into U.S. markets. In addition, 25 high-quality jobs have been created in southern Ontario.
This project aligns with the Government of Canada's priority of supporting companies to scale up and innovate and create investments that strengthen the advanced manufacturing sector, one of five identified superclusters in Canada.

As a result of the FedDev Ontario project, Archmill House Inc. expects to increase its local supply chain spending to procure an additional $7.4 million worth of goods per year from Ontario suppliers, with many located in southern Ontario.
