Federation Council Launches 2026/27 Community Grants

Got a great idea for a community event, a new local program, or a project that brings people together?

Federation Council is officially inviting local sports clubs, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations to apply for a share of $40,000 through the 2026/2027 Community Grants Program, which opened on Monday, 24 August 2026.

This annual program is designed to support the grassroots initiatives that make our region a vibrant and connected place to live. Whether your group is planning a local festival, upgrading shared equipment, launching a wellness initiative, or hosting workshops, grants of up to $5,000 per applicant are available to help turn those plans into reality.

Funding Available: Up to $5,000 per project (from a total $40,000 pool).

What We Fund: Local projects, events, and programs that strengthen that happen with the Federation Council community.

Who Can Apply: Local not-for-profit groups, clubs, and community organisations.

Key Dates: Applications opened Monday, 24 August 2026 and close Friday 23 October 2026.

Applying is quick and simple via the online form available from Council's website. Groups are encouraged to download and read the application guidelines first to ensure their event or project meets the eligibility requirements.
