A kaleidoscope of culture and smiles will shine when the Festival of Colour takes place at its new home of Quakers Hill Park on Saturday 21 March.
Music from South Asia, food and market stalls, children's activities and the main event - the colour throw – are expected to attract many people to this celebration of community.
The new location allows for more entertainment and easy access so everyone can come and be part of the fun.
This Blacktown City Council event borrows its theme from the Hindu festival of Holi, which marks the changing of seasons and the triumph of good over evil.
Blacktown City Mayor Brad Bunting said the Festival of Colour was for everyone.
"Whether you are from South Asia or just looking for great community vibes, we can all enjoy the positivity of this event," he said.
"This is just one of the many festivals Council organises throughout the year to cater to our diverse community and give everyone a chance to celebrate where they live."
Council will provide safe, coloured chalk for the colour throw so as many people as possible can decorate themselves and their friends.
A range of children's rides and amusements will be available including a giant slide, pirate ship, cup and saucers, and obstacle inflatable.
A DJ and Cricket NSW activities will be among the varied entertainment.
