Tasmanian Government
Jane Howlett, Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events
Connoisseurs of food, beverage and entertainment will fill Launceston's City Park this weekend for Festivale 2026.
Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, said Festivale is a renowned event in Northern Tasmania.
"Festivale is an iconic celebration of Tasmanian produce from wine, beer, whisky and cider to our fresh seafood, cheese and global-inspired cuisine," Minister Howlett said.
"We are proud to showcase our state's premium food and beverages to the thousands of visitors who will take part in this event, with more than 70 stallholders.
"It is a celebration of our tourism and hospitality sector, supported by great entertainment and activities."
Last year's Festivale drew more than 29,000 to City Park over the three-day celebration, with 40 per cent of those attending from outside of the Launceston area.
"Major events such as Festivale are important to our visitor economy," Minister Howlett said.
"We are proud to continue our support of Festivale, with a total of $1.2 million through to 2027.
"Our Government is delivering for Tasmanians by backing events that support local businesses and suppliers and our tourism and hospitality sector."
