The Tweed Festive Glow Guide is back, dazzling brighter than ever.
Council's popular interactive map will once again bring together the region's most spectacular Christmas displays, all in one easy-to-navigate location.
Residents are invited to embrace the festive spirit by decorating their homes and registering their displays online so the whole community can enjoy them.
Mayor of Tweed Shire Chris Cherry said the tradition celebrates community pride and connection.
"Don't let your Christmas light go unseen, so much effort and time goes in to preparing some of these displays that it is lovely to share the joy you are creating," Cr Cherry said.
"By registering your display, you can share the magic with towns and villages across the Tweed. We also encourage everyone to think sustainably. Reuse, share or borrow decorations you already have, and choose solar powered or LED lights to conserve energy."
Burringbar local Graham Purnell and wife Glenys have been lighting up their house for 20 years, with this year's display featuring nearly 60,000 lights.
"Over the years, people have often asked us where our donation box was, but we've always said the smiles on children's faces are all the donation we need," Mr Purnell said.
However, the Purnell family has added something new to this year's display. Their daughter-in-law has organised a donation box, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.
"It's wonderful to be able to share the festive spirit with others and support a cause that means so much to the wider Tweed community," Mr Purnell said.
Join in the celebration by decorating your home, taking a photo and uploading it to the Tweed Festive Glow Guide interactive map.
Entries close at midnight on Thursday 18 December.
