Fiery traffic camera arrest

Prahran police have arrested a man after a traffic camera was set alight in Windsor earlier this year, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged a man tampered with a camera on the corner of Punt Road, north of High Street, on the morning of 2 April before setting it on fire.

A 29-year-old Dixons Creek man was arrested today and charged with a number of offences, including criminal damage by fire, wilful damage, possess anything with intention to destroy or damage, and disobey traffic control signal (red light).

He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 11 December.
