Fifth Arrest in Mt Druitt Stabbing: Strike Force Leeman

A fifth person has been charged over an alleged stabbing in Sydney's west last month.

On Tuesday 24 June 2025, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command established Strike Force Leeman to investigate an alleged stabbing at a shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue, Mount Druitt.

A 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man had suffered stab wounds during an alleged affray before they were taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police have charged four people since the commencement of the investigation – two men aged 18, one aged 20 and a 17-year-old boy – who remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a fifth person – a 23-year-old man – was arrested about 2pm today (Friday 11 July 2025), at Mt Druitt Police Station.

He was charged with affray and given conditional bail to appear before Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday 23 July 2025.

The investigation under Strike Force Leeman continues.
