Fifth man arrested over sexual assault

A man has been extradited from Victoria to face sexual assault charges in Adelaide.

Today, Thursday 17 August, detectives from the Special Crimes Investigation Section extradited a 26-year-old man from Victoria. He was arrested and charged with rape, alleged to have occurred on Sunday 18 June in the western suburbs of Adelaide.

The man was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday 18 August.

Detectives from the Special Crimes Investigation Section have previously arrested a 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old man from the western suburbs, a 22-year-old man from Victoria and a 24-year-old Naracoorte man in relation to this matter. They are all currently remanded in custody.
