Final Call: Enter February Dining Cashback Draw

South Australian Tourism Commission

South Australians are encouraged to register in the Summer Plan Dining Cashback ballot by midnight on Saturday, 31 January to be in the next draw on Sunday, 1 February.

A further 60,000 ballot winners will be drawn, who will each receive a cashback code to claim 50% (up to $50) from more than 500 coastal hospitality and seafood businesses across the State.

The Dining Cashback program continues to inject millions of dollars into the economy, with more than 100,000 cashbacks claiming back more than $4 million since the program began.

Dining Cashbacks redeemed in the December allocation injected a further $5.42 million into local businesses, bringing the total spend value from cashback winners to over $10.8 million in its first two months.

South Australians aged 18 and over can enter the ballot for the chance to receive a cashback offer, with two further ballot draws to be held on 1 February and 1 March, before the program concludes on 31 March 2026.

Businesses have reported stronger customer numbers and increased activity since the program began, helping sustain trade over the summer months and encourage local support during a time of uncertainty and reduced visitor activity as a result of the algal bloom.

To date, 504 businesses are participating in the Summer Plan Dining Cashback program - including 49 seafood retailers.

To claim the offer, winners dine or purchase seafood from a participating business, retain a tax invoice, and upload it via the website along with transaction and bank details. Cashback payments are paid into the winner's account with 5 days of the claim being approved.

Winners from previous draws are also eligible to re-enter the ballot, giving South Australians more opportunity to support local coastal businesses while enjoying dining and seafood experiences across the state.

The Dining Cashback program is part of the State and Federal Governments' Summer Plan.

Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison said it's fantastic to see a strong uptake from South Australians getting behind the Summer Plan Dining Cashback program and showing their support for coastal hospitality and SA seafood businesses.

"In just the first two months, the program has returned more than $4 million to South Australians and has generated over $10.8 million in spend from cashback winners, showing it's making a real difference for local communities and our economy," she said.

"With only two draws remaining, I encourage South Australians to register in the ballot for their chance to enjoy our stunning coast and local seafood, with the added benefit of 50% of the cost, up to $50, going back in their pocket."

William Glazbrook, the manager of the Dalrymple Hotel said the Dining Cashback program has had a positive impact on our business, bringing new and returning customers through the doors and increasing overall trade.

"We've also seen strong interest in our local seafood and regional produce, which has been great for both our venue and local suppliers," he said.

"It's been a fantastic initiative for regional hospitality."
