The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT has declared a 24-HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Monday 12 January for the Barkly South fire weather forecast area including ADDER, ALEXANDRIA, ALPURRURULAM, ANNITOWA, ANNITOWA, ANNITOWA, ARAPUNYA, ARGADARGADA, AUSTRAL DOWNS, AVON DOWNS, BURRAMURRA, BURRAMURRA, DERRY DOWNS, DERRY DOWNS, EAST RANKEN, ELKEDRA, GEORGINA DOWNS, IRRMARNE, LAKE NASH, LUCY CREEK, MANNERS CREEK, MANNERS CREEK, OORATIPPRA, ROCKLANDS, SOUDAN, SOUDAN, WEST RANKEN, ALPURRURALAM, IRRMARNE, WUNARA.
The fire ban is declared for a 24-hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Monday 12 January 2026.
During the fire ban no person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.
The fire ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
