Fire Charges, One Mile

Police have charged two men following a fire at One Mile last night, August 14.

Just before 11.30pm, officers were called to reports of a fire at an abandoned house on Toowoomba Road.

It is alleged the two offenders then fled the scene on foot.

The dog squad was deployed to assist officers, with the two offenders located at a Huntingdale Street address a short time later where they were taken into custody.

A 23-year-old Eagleby man and 24-year-old Woodridge man have both been charged with one count each of endangering particular property by fire.

Both men are due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today, August 15.
