Firearm discharged at Wingfield

Police are investigating a firearm incident at Wingfield last night.

About 9.45pm Sunday 28 May police were called to Sixth Street after a firearm was discharged into the windscreen of a car.

The victim, a 34-year-old South Brighton man, had allegedly arranged to meet someone in the street when a man appeared shooting a bullet into the windscreen of the victim's vehicle. The victim was not injured and the suspect fled on foot.

Following an investigation, a 32-year-old Kilburn man was located and arrested nearby. The firearm has not been located. The man is expected to be charged with a number of serious firearms offences and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
