Firearm stolen from home near Maitland, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after a firearm was reported stolen from a property in the Hunter region.

Between Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November 2017, a .22 Savage rifle and ammunition was stolen from a gun safe at a property on Michael Hill Avenue, Woodberry.

Officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command were notified and are now appealing for any person with information about the theft, or the whereabouts of the gun, to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers, NSW Police say.
