Firearms, ammunition, cash and jewellery stolen at Nabiac

Police are appealing for information after three firearms, ammunition and cash were stolen from a rural property in the Manning-Great Lakes region at the long weekend.

On Friday 19 April 2019, a 52-year-old man left his rural property on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac.

He arrived home about 6pm on Tuesday 23 April 2019 and saw the gun safe door in the garage had been forced open, with two shotguns and an air rifle, ammunition, cash and jewellery missing.

Officers from Manning-Great Lakes Police District established a crime scene and initiated an investigation.

A number of items have been seized by detectives for forensic examination.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area over the Easter long weekend to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
